January 2022 – Wrap Up

January 2022 can be summed up thusly:

Non-COVID head colds, weekend trips to Tyler, weekday trips to Paris (TX), running, more work and deadlines than hours and days available, and books.

We started the year with colds, but still hosted and ran our first annual Dallas Galloway New Year’s Day 5-miler fun run and 2 mile walk.

Camp BFF resumed operations for 2022. Glory Be and Magic literally could not be happier.

Multiple long days of cleaning at the family home in Tyler. My mom asked me what was worse – going through their things to prepare for the move from Manhattan to KC, going through Johnnie’s house or going through the Hayley home. No question. The Hayley home.

More meds delivered for safe disposal. 42.5 lbs total.

We crossed another state off our 50 State Race list. Arizona was hot, but fun and a lot more stressful than we expected.

There were so many things to do for both Hayley and Beall estates that we finally sat down and wrote to-do lists for each. One to-do got done before month-end: Picking up Johnnie’s belongings from his assisted care home. It was on COVID lockdown when he passed, then we just didn’t have the energy (physical or emotional) to get it done until now.
