Improving the Living Room | A Modsy Review

Our house went through a major upgrade last year when we replaced the majority of the flooring in our downstairs. At the same time, we got rid of our living room furniture. Mismatched couches went out in favor of a new sectional.

The room is an odd shape, and we knew our furniture layout wasn’t the best but we were working with what we had.

What I needed, though, was an interior designer to help me think through some things. Along came Modsy, an online service.

Pricing was very reasonable – about $100 for the room. I took detailed measurements of the room and a ton of photos. They transformed those into a 3D model. After I took a quick style quiz, a designer and I then worked in the model to create something that reflected the Hayleys.

And … we love it!

I didn’t buy any of the products they suggested, because the pricing was a little higher than I wanted to spend. As well, I had a lot of existing pieces I wanted to work with.

Let’s do a comparison:

Would we use Modsy again? Yes! You just have to be willing to work with your designer to get things just right.
