January 2020 Wrap Up

Slow but busy month. Weird, right?

New Year’s Day 5-mile run – as always.

Oliver broke his Christmas toy. It didn’t even make it one week.

Jasper continued his sexy posing on our new wood floors.

A friend gave us the best “Bridget was special and I know you miss her” gift.

We outran sleet and stayed right behind tornadoes as we drove to Mobile, Alabama for the Mobile Full and Half Marathon.

Podcast recording day!!

For the first time in FOREVER, Kelly and I sat down to work a bunch of puzzles together.

Kelly took me to meet his birth father – they’ve just reconnected after 20 years apart. I’m calling him “bonus” because Holiday is very much Kelly’s dad and my beloved father-in-law. Johnnie is becoming a beloved bonus that we didn’t expect to have.

For I don’t know how many years – 25? 30? more? – my mom has sent me newspaper clippings, covered in sticky notes with her commentary. This month she sent me the last one and I am so sad. I understand why, but the sadness is there all the same.

New TV for the living room – and for the first-time ever we bought a second TV for our house. It will go in the front room.

With a new second TV near our sectional sofa, I realized we needed a family TV time snuggle blanket. Sewn and done.
