How to Share Your Family Stories | Reunion Ideas

Slideshows and story time. These are the stuff memories are made of – at least in my family.

Except slideshows are often accompanied by yawns and people trying to sneak out. And we’re moving into the time of our collective lives when we don’t have as many chances for the family story creators to tell our great family shenanigan stories.

I suggested a new way: Jeopardy. I had all of the cousins submit questions for their respective family line and developed the game accordingly.

I think it worked pretty well. We had a smart TV failure, so I had to run it completely on my iPad. Next time we’ll hopefully get that sorted out. (It was fine…reunions and games shouldn’t be stressful, in my opinion.)

Each time a question was answered, the full story had to be shared. There were lots of laughs and – judging from the attention everyone (young to old) paid, I think it was a success!

PS family members who may be reading this – I have enough questions and stories to do another round at our next reunion!
