For the past few months, the Hayleys have had an unusual house guest…Flat Adella!
What? You don’t know Flat Adella? How about Flat Stanley? Based on the book by Jeff Brown, the Flat Stanley project encourages students to make their own “Flat” character and send it on an adventure.
So my niece, Adella, sent her Flat Adella self to visit her aunt and uncle in Texas.
In the process of touring around Dallas and North Texas, we’ve had a couple of amazing experiences. Like getting the lead anchor of the top television station to wave hello for our photo:
And then there was that close encounter with Big Jake in the Fort Worth Stockyards:
Too much fun! Hopefully Adella will think it was pretty awesome, too.
