It’s Beginning to Feel a Lot Like Christmas

Enough of the humbug! Thanksgiving is behind us – now it’s full steam towards Christmas!

I’d told all of our friends and family that I.Would.Not.Decorate.This.Year. You know the drill: too little time, not enough “stuff” for a new house, no inspiration…Whatever.

We can blame it on the House, I suppose. More likely we can blame it on the holiday playlist that The Boy fired up, because Friday After Thanksgiving (some call it Black Friday…I prefer to call it Red, Green and Twinkle Light Friday) I was overwhelmed by the urge to pull out our holiday decorations.

The furbabies helped me get things pulled together. Bridget, in particular, has always been our Christmas-loving kitty (more on that in days to come!):

And Sylvester had to trade in his cowboy hat for something a bit more festive. (Again, the furbabies were very relieved to learn that the Cat Christmas Outfit I’d purchased at Petco was for Sylvester, not them!):

So, happy holiday season, y’all! And pardon my enthusiasm for all things holiday and crafty that will surely populate the Hayley Daily in the month to come…

I love Christmas music, but I have to confess something. It annoys me when radio stations switch to a 24-7 Christmas music format on the day after Thanksgiving, and continue until Christmas. I like to mix it up a bit.

  2. I have this strong feeling that Santa should bring some Christmas clothing for the furbabies ….

  3. I promise that the furbabies will never speak to Santa again…

  4. I love listening to Christmas music 24/7 during December (only)!

    I'm not much of a mixer-upper.
