Getting Organized: Viatu

When we took possession of the Hayley House, we spent a bit of time wandering through the rooms and discussing what would live in each new space.

Arriving in the master closet, we were greeted by row upon row of shelves. Kelly wondered aloud: Hey, I wonder what we can use those shelves for?

Instantly I said: Shoes.
Kelly suggested: Maybe linens.
I responded, a bit more firmly: Shoes!

I can’t tell you how wonderful it is to be able to see all of my shoes in a glance. Now I think I’ll start trying to live up to the plaque my sister gave me this spring:

  1. I LOVE the plaque. I had to give up shoe shopping for Lent earlier this year to get my habit under control. Brings a new meaning to "12 Steps." πŸ™‚

    With all of this extra storage space, I am fighting the shopping devil on my shoulder on a near-daily basis. The only thing restraining me is the desire to purchase curtains. πŸ™‚
