Yesterday was warm and humid. Yesterday was seer-sucker and sandals, shorts and a tank top. Yesterday was windows open and “let’s grill something for dinner.”
Today is cold and wet. Today is knitted and woolen, flannel and layers. Today is huddle with a kitty, snuggle with a sweetheart. Today is chicken noodle soup, hot tea and oatmeal.
It’s a wet click-clack on the windows kind of day. An “I wish I could stay at home today” day. A “take your time on each task at the office” day.
Today’s a rainy day. It’s a return to winter, at least for a short while. Today’s reminder is to live a little slower, love a little fuller, and dream a little deeper.
