March was a super-busy month – but mostly because we vacationed for a lot of it and had to squeeze work into what remained.
Advanced PIO (Public Information Officer) training with FEMA in Fort Worth.
Our largest TEDxPlanoSalon session to date!
TEDxPlano 2019 timed rehearsals.
And then we went to Hawaii.
We met up with Trev for fellowship and to renew our wedding vows.
While on Oahu, we (among many other things) went to visit Pearl Harbor.
We also traveled to the Big Island.
We ran a marathon and half marathon. Naturally.
And ate so much poke!
We did a lot of hiking while we traveled the island.
We also ticked a National Park of the list – this is Volcanos. No lava on the surface after the 2018 eruption, but continual steam and sulfur gas releases!
We saw humpback whales and sea turtles.
Then we headed back to the mainland and San Diego, where I attended a conference.
Next we hopped on Amtrack to head to LA.
We did just a quick bit of sight-seeing.
Then Kelly ran another marathon. Naturally.
Back home to work, work, work – especially since TEDxPlano was just 2 weeks away.
Plus we kicked off another season of the Galloway Getting Started 5k program.
And we decided to start renovating our house, as one does when things are already crazy.
