May flew by – probably because we ran three races in three states, in addition to all of the normal (and not-so-normal) life things back home.
We headed back to the east coast to pick up two northeastern state races. First up was Rhode Island, which was a small loop-based race course.
A definite benefit to northeastern state races is wonderful northeastern state seafood meals post-race! Kelly and I shared this.
Before leaving for our next race, we ate breakfast and watched the coronation at our hotel.
Sometimes Kelly issues a firm NO to doing too much touring pre-race. I’m glad I convinced him otherwise when we spotted a sign for the “Mark Twain house” in Hartford, Connecticut. We loved wandering around the property!
With full sun and a short hilly course, we were very happy to say “run and done” to the state of Connecticut.
Words can’t describe how excited we were to host our first garden bee visitor. We are officially in our “take photos of the garden” era of life.
We bought our second rental! It’s about 15 minutes from our first rental property and in walking distance to a great school.
With glorious gardening weather came not-so-glorious allergies for the Glory girl. We had to take her to see Dr. Wilson because of hot spots under her legs. She didn’t mind taking medicine because it just meant peanut butter to her.
We hosted our first-ever PGL season kick-off. The PGLs loved it.
The month ended with another state race: Wyoming!!! There weren’t a lot of races to choose from, and the one we ran was at high elevation with lots of hills. Our pre-race photo is the only time we looked happy all race.
