Recipe | Our Signature Alaskan Salmon

This is Kelly’s specialty. We recreated the glaze after having it on our honeymoon to Alaska.

Hayley’s Signature Alaskan Salmon

  • Salmon fillets (4-6) with skin on. Thicker is better

Glaze

  • 1/4 c butter
  • 1/4 c brown sugar
  • 1/8 c soy sauce
  • 1/8 c honey
  • 2-3 T garlic

Combine glaze ingredients in small saucepan and cook over medium heat until thick and bubbly. Meanwhile, heat grill to high. Lightly oil salmon fillets skin side – this will make it easier for the fish to release from the grill. Place salmon skin-side down on the grill. Cook salmon for 6 minutes, brushing flesh side liberally with glaze as it cooks. Flip salmon, removing from skin when flipping. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes to broil glaze.
