August was alternately busy and slow. Work was busy for both of us and the calendar was full. Yet we also seemed to have plenty of time for each other, running, home and the furkids. Altogether it seemed just about perfect.
Tuesday and Thursday night running with friends officially became a thing.
Kelly had a COVID scare with a sudden fever. Fortunately OTC tests now exist and we were able to rule out COVID and rule in “just sick.”
Concerts came back to town. With vaccines and masks, we felt pretty safe enjoying Brad Paisley live.
Glory successfully killed her bed after getting anxious/bored at home.
Family time continues to be the best. Glory gets daytime, the boys get evenings, mornings and anytime we’re in one of “their” rooms.
It’s long run time in our training season. Friends and beautiful sunrises make the high temps and miles bearable.
My Zoom partner particularly loved my decision to work some from home this month.
The month ended on a sad note, as we said goodbye to cousin Roger and to my work colleague, Jerry Cosgrove. Even as I’m typing this, it feels too soon to add photos of them to this post. So I won’t.
