From the random-101-list-file: I’ve wanted to visit the Museum of Biblical Arts in Dallas for some time now, mostly because it’s there and I’ve never gone. Curiosity gets me to do many things in life. A friend had a ministry fundraising luncheon there a few months ago – it gave me the perfect opportunity to both […]

Whose Room is this Anyway?
Spotted during a recent weekend away: An interloper in the guest room. I’m obviously going to have to talk to management if this happens again. No kitties are allowed to lounge on our bed if we aren’t allowed to rub said kitty’s belly.
Somewhere in Time
We love Jefferson, Texas. If you’ve not been there, you should go. Anyway, an old-timey town is even more fun when it’s hosting a Civil War reenactment. And on a side note…we saw some really really really old quilts.
My Two Cents

A Special Visit to an Extra-Special Friend
While in Tyler, we also stopped by to see Kelly’s former best friend, mentor and groomsman: It’s wonderful how people can continue to influence your life, long after they are gone.
Important: TEAM HOPE Update
Hi all, Quick update on the Hayley’s Team Hope adventure. After 2.5 years of saving and fundraising, we’re finally ready to head to X country. Our trip is later this year, but we’re frantically working to get things pulled together in order to meet the logistical challenges of travelling to, and within, this very closed […]
Oh Nando’s – We’ve Missed You
After the Marine Corps Marathon (and a well-deserved shower and change of clothes), we headed to one of our favorite restaurants from the UK: Nando’s. Words can not describe how much we love this restaurant, nor how sad we are that there’s not one close to us. Nando’s opened branches in the US 2-3 years […]
All Good Things Must Come to An End
Of course, no vacation can last forever. Otherwise it wouldn’t be vacation. Or it might be life in Kenya. But that was 16 years ago for me. I digress… I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the one thing that I talked about nearly non-stop while we were on the island: Dolphins. I wanted […]
Our Belizian Inland Excursions
We travelled off Waterfoot Caye two times: Once on an inland outing with the other resort guests and the second to visit the local markets and grocery stores (a must for us on any international trip). I could go into the disaster that was the former trip, from a too-small vehicle (sitting square and on […]
