Trout is so flavorful – and fortunately so easy to cook! I found frozen trout (skin on!) fillets at the grocery store the other day and stocked up. The following is the perfect way to cook them.
Baked Rainbow Trout
- 2 skin-on trout filets
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Seasonings, to taste
Heat oven to 425F. Line baking sheet with aluminum foil. Drizzle trout filets with olive oil, add seasonings. Place, skin side down. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the fish is golden brown and the flesh flakes off easily with a fork.
