August was a forgettable month. By that I don’t mean I can’t remember what happened. I mean I’d like to forget August ever happened, because so very much negativity happened.
We kicked off the month celebrating 3 months with our Glory.
Then a terrible random murder happened on the trail right by our home. A trail we walk on all the time with Glory.
The master bedroom redesign continued to progress – more art installed, new bed blanket and new lamps.
Glory caught kennel cough and was miserable for over a week. Honey really helped (who knew?) soothe her throat.
COVID made for a very weird Town Hall recording session.
I finally made something useful with an old (22 years!) Kenyan kanga – a nice full body towel for Glory.
I had a pancake artist make a custom portrait of Kelly. It was super-cool!
Then Oliver got sick and almost died of a urinary blockage.
Summer finally got really hot – just in time for really long running miles. At least we had beautiful sunrises.
Jasper suffered from “feline nonrecognition syndrome” after Oliver got home. He smelled so different that Jasper thought a strange cat had moved into our house. It took a week for them to connect again.
It also took a week for Oliver to feel more energetic, start eating prescription food and get back to bossing Glory.
We hit a major financial milestone nearly a year earlier than we thought we would. Cheers to the Dave Ramsey plan, living frugally and monitoring our RIQ!
Finally finished hanging curtains – it’s only been on my 101 To Do list since 2015!
