October was a crazy-busy month. I traveled three of the four weeks of the month, and somehow tried to fit life and work in the margins.
Kicked off the month with a quick upgrade to the half bath cabinets. Much more modern than the bronze leaf pulls.
I headed to Knoxville for The Uprising – a very different type of event. It was more of a retreat/co-learning experience for senior marketers, curated by Mark Schaefer.
Such a great group!
Of course, there was lots and lots of running with Dallas Galloway.
I made a quick trip to the Texas Municipal League conference in San Antonio to pick up the TML Excellence Award for our Ask Plano series.
Then I headed to Manhattan for several days of sorting and clearing with my family. Not an easy job. At all.
Then on to Chicago for the ALI Social/Video conference. I led a session and enjoyed meeting and learning from other government professionals.
And I treated myself to finally seeing Hamilton.
Back home to catch up on everything (good luck with that), plus plenty of family and friend time. We had baby showers….
…and House to House group time Love these people!
I’ll never forget my horrific rabbit-in-the-garage encounter.
We held three TEDxPlano Salon sessions.
And wrapped the month with a super-fun Trunk or Treat at church. Our new bubble machine was a winner!
