A long long time ago I bought a bottle of kecap manis. It’s lingered in the pantry, so now I’m trying to use it up. This recipe is good enough to make me buy another bottle.
Kecap Manis Chicken Thighs

- 6 chicken thighs
- 2 T kecap manis
- 2 T ketchup
- 1 T sesame oil
- 2 T sesame seeds
Preheat oven to 350F. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. In a mixing bowl, combine kecap manis, ketchup, sesame oil, and sesame seeds. Add chicken thighs, stir to coat, then transfer to prepared tray. Bake until fully cooked, about 30 minutes. Let cooked chicken rest for 5 minutes before cutting into small strips. Serve with rice and vegetables.
