Bridget also had a tough 2018. It’s hard to believe we adopted her as a little squirt in England – she’s nearly 15 years old now. We took her to the vet in July fully expecting to have to put her down. What we thought was a fatal illness was merely an infection we were able to nurse her through.
We took her back to the vet in December with an appointment to put her down. Yet again, we discovered her refusal to eat and drink wasn’t a sign of the end but instead was a virus and possibly IBS. Treatment and a change in diet has put weight back on her and returned her bossy naughty attitude.
I told her if I have to put her in the car to the vet one more time, she’d better not expect it to be a round trip again.
I love this old lady kitty.
