I’m not posting here as much.
I’m also not posting much on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, unless it’s about work, TEDxPlano, running or cats.
Those subjects are relatively safe. You can talk about them with minimal risk of offense in an age of outrage.
Except for those dog owners. They don’t take an overabundance of cat photos lightly.
While other fret over data breaches on social channels, I fret more over privacy breaches. The social world is just too social, but superficially so. I guess I’m at the point where if I want you to know something about me, let’s spend time together and it will happen naturallly.
I’m still me. Just a little internet-quieter.
I’m right there with you, sister! I don’t miss Facebook. I pop on once a day to check business page postings typically. I deleted the app from my phone (kept Messenger and Pages for obvious reasons). So, now I’m subscribed by email to your blog so I see your new posts because I LOVE the Hayley Daily 🙂
Awwww…now you make me want to write more! It’s crazy how much more privacy I crave. Gone are the days of “building your personal brand” on anything personal.
