I’ve written before about my mom’s practice of sending newspaper clippings.
(By the way, now that my work is being published more, I’ve started returning the favor!)
One of the articles she sent in her last weighs-a-million-pounds envelope (love you Mom!) was about a brewery that had moved into a vacated craft store in my hometown’s downtown.
You can’t send an article like that right and not expect us pay it a visit the next time we’re in town.
It’s hard to believe Tall Grass Brewery is housed in a former JoAnne’s. Replacing yarn and cake decorating supplies are large brewing tanks. Instead of bright whites and blues, the space is moody reds and blacks.
Very cool.
And the beer? Fairly good. We liked the Buffalo Sweat (a dark) the best.
