We’re pretty excited about what’s in store for 2015.
We can see that we’ll finally achieve (or get scarily close) a big goal that we’ve worked on for a number of years. And when that happens, it opens a new set of doors and opportunities for us.
Beyond that, 2015 already feels like a new day dawning. At some point in life, you come to terms with old hurts, work through long-held frustrations, let go of old solutions for new and better ones, and turn your face to the sun after slogging through a very long valley.
I think we’re entering a season of overcoming what was and beginning to dream about what can be.
As I told our pastor last month, at some point I don’t want us to be people who are defined by their story. I want us to be people who have a story – just like everyone else.
I can’t wait to look back on December 31, 2015, to see all the ways we experienced God’s promise that we are overcomers.
