I’m only posting this for the sake of The Boy’s survival List cookbook.
The Boy’s Famous Chocolate Chip Cookies
Actually – this is just Nestle’s Toll House cookie recipe…but he makes it perfect.
There’s no way I can begin to share that particular magic.
- 2 1/4 c flour
- 1 t baking soda
- 1 t salt
- 1 c (2 sticks) Parkay
- 3/4 c granulated sugar
- 3/4 c packed brown sugar
- 1 t vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 1 10-oz pkg Nestle semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 c chopped walnuts
Preheat oven to 375F. Combine flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl. Beat Parkay and sugars until creamy. Add vanilla and eggs, beat to combine. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Drop by large rounded spoonful onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake for 10 minutes – cookies will be very tender when coming out of the oven. Let them sit on the pan for 1-2 minutes, then remove and allow to cool completely on wire racks.
Following these directions will yield about two to two and a half dozen large cookies.
