From the random files…
I met an industry colleague (and friend) for a networking breakfast the other week. I’d read that the restaurant we met at was famous for their cinnamon rolls.
Cinnamon rolls are a trigger food of mine, so I rarely eat them. Rarely meaning that I don’t think I’ve eaten a real cinnamon roll – a yeasty, gooey cinnamon roll – in at least two years.
But the cinnamon rolls at Breadwinners Cafe are famous, so I was obligated to try one. Right?
Order one, I did, and I couldn’t believe what $2.50 bought me: A cinnamon roll the size of my hand.
The size of my hand!!!!!!
Apparently abstaining from cinnamon rolls for a number of years, plus getting that whole BMI thing under control, does wonders for one’s self control. I was only able to eat half of the roll, then I shared the last half with The Boy for dessert that evening.
Mmmm…..good stuff.
