I made banana bread this weekend, using my favorite recipe, and decided to do something completely different just because.
Just because I felt like it, I roasted the bananas first. It deepened the banana flavor and made the sweeter at the same time. Definitely worth the effort.
Did I say effort? There’s no effort to roasting bananas!
Simply heat the oven to 350F. Place bananas on a parchment-lined baking sheet and roast for 30-40 minutes.
The finished bananas will be blackened on the outside, soft and molten on the inside. Just be careful opening them so you don’t get steam burns!
