What could be worse – case study #1:
You know how dreadful it is to wake up to the sound of a cat (or child…or anyone for that matter) gagging and preparing to throw up?
It’s much worse when you discover a day later that they threw up on you and you didn’t notice until the next day.
Thanks, Ben. (ahem – and thanks to my middle sister, who also did that to me approximately 25 years ago)
What could be worse – case study #2:
While helping to pack an apartment over the weekend, The Boy and my baby sister assigned me to the kitchen. Just one room? No problem…except it took me most of the day.
I commented while working through the kitchen junk drawer:
Do you know what’s worse than packing up your own junk drawer? Packing someone else’s junk drawer.
True, noted The Boy.
And do you know what’s worse than packing someone else’s junk drawer? Packing someone who grew up influenced by the Great Depression.
True, noted The Boy.
Added my Dad – And do you know what’s worse than packing the junk drawer of someone who grew up influenced by the Great Depression? Packing their son’s junk drawer.
I shudder at the thought. Thanks, Dad. That will be far worse.
yeesh!
