When I have a particularly funny post about life, or marriage, or the travails of “parenting” furbabies, my mom will comment (offline) that I reminded her of a modern day Erma Bombeck.
That makes me happy, but I love Erma Bombeck. She may have written in the 1960s-70s, but she’s still relevant and funny today.
I stumbled across this wonderful Erma quote this weekend.
I just have to say that if I remind my mom (or anyone else) of this Erma, then I’ll be very happy:
When I stand before God at the end of my life,
I would hope that I would not have a
single bit of talent left, and could say,
“I used everything you gave me.”
