My niece and nephew got into a bit of trouble over the weekend for watching a show (SpongeBob SquarePants) that they know they’re not supposed to watch.
And when they (tried) to watch it no less than three separate times, they ended up in time out (complete with tears and wails of “worst vacation ever”).
Part of their time out included writing notes – to Aunt T, Grandma Mo and their mom for disobedience. Grandma Mo took a look at the notes at the end of time out, but was really confused by my niece’s letter.
At the bottom of the letter, she’d illustrated that she understood right from wrong with a picture of the BAD show and a picture of a GOOD show. It said:
After a bit of Q and A we learned that she was talking about a Disney show, Phineas and Ferb.
So much for phonetic spelling.
{When we told my sister and brother-in-law about the note, my brother-in-law just looked at my sister and said: What shows are you watching while I’m not at home!?}
see, he was NEVER supposed to find out! Just like the sacred bon bon conversations. lol
