It’s hot. I can’t think. At least, I can’t think coherently about anything. Here’s a roundup of the random bits of a Hayley week.
- I’ve been spending a lot of my spare time in Photoshop. I wonder why?
- Our lives have been so busy that I actually had to take a vacation day to go grocery shopping. At 6:30 in the morning to avoid the heat – no lie.
- Boogity-boogity! I just bought tickets to the November NASCAR race in Dallas. Again, no lie. (My dad is probably shocked after reading this.)
- Ever since I finished my Cook from Every Cookbook goal, I’ve had the darnedest time figuring out what to cook. Uninspired, I am.
- I read a friend’s post on making homemade laundry detergent and now am (insanely) considering making my own.
- We’re on Stage 2 water restrictions because of a) drought and b) heat. Unless we want our foundation to go completely wonky and our lovely shade-producing trees to wither and die, we’ve got to keep watering. Now to decide if I want to water during approved time #1 -Tuesday from 6 pm-10 pm or #2-Friday from 2 am-10 am…
- We finished watching Numb3rs on Netflix. Pretty good show – and learned that, as is typical of (nearly all of) the shows we like, it’s been cancelled. Next up: The Rockford Files. Word is that it’s been cancelled, too.
- My friend sent me an awesome necklace for my birthday and I wore it three straight days this week.
- Other friends sent me amazing Punjammies for my birthday. I have not worn them – anything other than nearly nude/barely respectable is simply too hot to wear. I did take a photo in them that I will not share with the outside world. There are some people in your life that you can send a thank you photo to with Girls improperly showing off. Then there’s everyone else.
- I finally organized my Internet favorites. Normally here’s where I’d say that Hell just froze over, but I live in Texas so I know that’s not true.
