And for the final sweet office treat, a blast from my cooking past – Quick and Easy Sticky Rolls.
When I say blast from the past, I’m talking about my 1975 children’s cookbook, Humpty Dumpty’s Mix and Fix Cook Book. I haven’t made anything from it in years (ants on a log, anyone?), but I can’t bear to part with it. I’ve had it for, literally, most of my life.
Quick and Easy Sticky Rolls
- 2 T. brown sugar
- 2 T. softened butter
- 2 T. honey
- 1 package brown and serve rolls
- Pecan halves
Preheat oven to 375F and line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper. Combine brown sugar, butter and honey. Spread mixture over the top of rolls. Place 2-3 pecan halves on each roll. Bake for 15 minutes or sugar is browned and sticky. Immediately remove from pan. Let cool slightly before serving.
I am going to need you to come and be my co-worker, Shannah. Bring treats. Thatisall.
If you ever change jobs, you should include these blog posts (and the previous related ones) on your CV. You'll be a shoo-in.
