For some reason, May has become somewhat of a benchmark month for the Hayleys.
- After two years of living with us, The Niece is moving out (and moving on) to complete her degree Baylor University. For a bit of perspective, we lived in the Hayley House for just over three months before The Niece moved in with us. We’ve loved having her here, but it will be nice to enjoy the Hayley House as just the Hayleys.
- My latest section of classes are finishing up around the same time. They’ve been a challenging bunch, so I’ll be glad to click submit on final grades and have a bit of a break from teaching.
So my mind is racing with what I want to do with an empty house and extra time. What projects do I want to tackle? {Answer: something small and speedy} When can I catch up on my scrapbooking? What do I want to sew using my new-to-me machine?
I think this is how I end up overloaded. Give me a minute of extra time and I’ll plan an hour’s worth of things to do. I guess some things don’t change all that much after all!
