Holy Cow, What a Week

Seriously. The Boy and I still haven’t recovered. In the course of the last 7 days we:

  • Cleaned up after hosting Thanksgiving
  • Tidied after a hosting a houseful of guests
  • Prepared for the next wave of guests arriving
  • Experienced serious change at both of our offices
  • Lived through three work deadlines
  • Attended two Christmas parties
  • Participated in small group Bible study
  • Participated in strategy planning for 2011
  • Graded papers for 40 students
  • Ran a marathon
  • Followed a Marathon Man to cheer him on
  • Slept far too little

Like I said – it was some week.

In the midst of it all, I got a hair-brained idea to pull out our Christmas decor. I got as far as setting up the tree, but not fluffing. There it sat, in all its non-fluffed, stuff everywhere, glory for over a week.

Even now I only have 1/3 of the lights on. The ornaments are out of their respective boxes and are piled in a chair. I hope they’ll stay there, safe from the curious paws of two furbabies, until I have time (and energy) to finish decorating next weekend. But I’m not holding out hope.

Speaking of the furbabies…I didn’t make up our bed at all last week. {GASP!} And in the midst of our very untidy bed, Ben and Bridget decided to be friends.

I wish this new-found friendship lasted longer than a cat nap.

I love how you stacked all of the boxes neatly just so that they'd be in the photo.

  2. You know me well. 🙂
