It was trash day and The Boy and I are in trouble.
Not because we forgot to put out the trash – but because we apparently forgot how to put out the trash.
We came home to find this taped to the top of our recycle bin:
It’s kind of like being sent home from school with a note pinned to your shirt, detailing your sins of the day. Only there wasn’t a mom or dad to give it to…so we taped it on the garage wall.
Should I tape an apology note to the recycle bin next week?
Definitely! Creatively. You have a whole week to think about it, and I'm sure Kelly would only need an hour.
wow, they aren't fickle at all are they? I agree, something creative should be done in response! 🙂
My question is: did they haul away the recyclables? We once received a note (in bright fluorescent orange, glued almost permanently to the recycling bin) with instructions about something which we weren't doing exactly right. And they didn't take the contents of the bin!
They did take the trash, but it was definitely a dire warning.
The note actually started:
"We have collected your garbage this week. However…"
What were you doing wrong?
We had them sitting too close together and at an angle.
