Ok, ok…I won’t make you wait several weeks to find out what The Boy has gotten me for my birthday.
He called the other day and asked if I could get time off of work to hop on a plane:
He will be traveling for work, but my present is to travel purely for fun and exploration.
Where are we going?
***
Here!!
Moscow, Russia
I already knew that.
I didn't say it was going to be a surprise for *everybody.*
(Aren't you going to say happy birthday? Or say something about my pretty red hair!?)
I did say happy birthday on facebook, but I hope you have a wonderfully happy birthday. You already know that I LOVE your pretty red hair, but I don't mind telling you again.
See you soon.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY! So THAT's your birthday present!! When do you go? Sheryl went to Russia when she was an exchange student in college and we have pictures of her in front of those beautiful buildings.
Was this on your 101 things you wanted to do?
Wow, congratulations. I would love to go back to visit now, 46 years later, to see how it has changed since the Cold War. How long will you be staying? Are you going with a group? Do either of you know Russian? My Hubby knows Russian. Would you like two guides?–on your dime, of course–we're growing poor here in HI.
super jealous … and super happy at the same time! Have a GREAT dual birthday celebration in Russia
@Nita – it wasn't on my list, but I'm happy to go nearly anywhere that requires my passport. 🙂
@Sheryl – I can say please and thank you! We'll take lots of photos for you all. (Interesting to contemplate exactly how much it may have changed, isn't it?)
@Ed – I know!!! This makes up for missing out on his trip last year. 🙂
I can see more Nativity sets in your collection!
