I was a busy woman this weekend. In addition to the normal grocery shopping and cooking, cleaning and running, I:
- bought a new table (comment from The Boy: Will you ever stop shopping for this house? My unspoken answer: As long as I’ve got it budgeted – no.)
- started working on improving the airlock (aka, the laundry room), and
- I brightened up our master bathroom lavatory.
While our master bathroom is large and airy, the lavatory located in a small, relatively dark corner. Of course, one can always turn on the light, but artificial light is so, well, artificial.
I had some mirrors sitting around that The Niece and I had picked up for $3 each at Ikea. They didn’t work where I thought they would, so they’d been sitting in a What To Do With These stack for months.
I finally realized that a quick coating of white spray paint would repurpose them nicely to solve our dark-and-dreary problem in the lavatory.
How about that? Now the natural light from the master bathroom hits the small mirrors, bouncing around and making an unpleasant much more pleasant. (At least from a lighting standpoint!)
