I’m not usually one to make snarky posts, but today I couldn’t help it.
Spotted in the office breakroom:
Encouraging thoughtfulness? Helpfulness? Yes. And yes. But also ironic.
Why? You ask? Because the creator of the sign (not me…no really, not me) is also the same person that poured out a newly-brewed full pot of coffee 15 minutes before an evening client meeting.
So in addition to encouraging thoughtfulness and helpfulness, this was also a failed attempt at CYA.
Here’s a better idea. Mark it as part of the office communications plan:
Ask if anyone wants coffee
before you empty out the coffee pot.
Novel concept, eh?
Much too easy a solution to be successful in most offices these days. What? We have to communicate?
