This morning, I tried to hurriedly catch up on an email backlog. I’d finally sent out our holiday card, resulting in a flurry of responses.
(Side note -perhaps emailing holiday wishes is far better at stimulating conversation than hard copies ever were…though I still love to display cards. Sigh!!)
In any case, I dashed notes off and clicked send, cc’ing The Boy as appropriate.
A few hours later, The Boy emailed me about one particular note, to say:
Where is the pretty comment?
I went back and looked at the original email, as well as my response:
Friend: Wow! What a great card. Poetry even!
Me: Thanks for calling me pretty!! Oh…you meant the card.
Hmmm….
Would you call this a case of Christmas vanity? Or quick typing dyslexia??
Only Christmas vanity? At least you didn't include a rhyme about your hair ….
I call it dyslexia! I read comments too quickly and the words jumble. If you remember, I DID say that you looked very pretty in that pic. Maybe you had that in your mind! LOL
That could be!!! It was a bit embarrassing… 🙂
