It’s amazing what you discover when you move from an overcrowded apartment into a house. The discovery of long-lost possessions, the unfortunate realization that certain items are well-and-truly just not here and a host of “I didn’t know I had that!”
For example…who would have thought that I had six identical square glass vases?
Two questions usually come to mind in those moments of discovery for me.
- Why on earth did I buy six identical vases?
- What on earth am I going to do with them?
For now, most are living on the top shelf of the pantry. But I did manage to use two.
One now holds my collection of mini-elephants that I carted home from Kenya:
(Yes, there we freely admit there’s an elephant in our living room!)
The other makes a perfect home for a perfect shopping deal:
A dozen roses on sale for $10 + a coupon in my car for $2 off any flower bouquet + one of my square glass vases = absolutely gorgeous display for $8. Love it!
Great deal on a beautiful floral arrangement.
Beautiful! My favorite rose – red. I like your square vase too. Six may not be enough. Don't you have a collection of marbles to display?
I do have some marbles to display, unfortunately, I've lost them again… 🙂
Honey child, I fear there's no hope for you.
