Message from the Pet Sitter

When Kelly and I left town for our short vacation, we had a friend stop in to watch the furbabies.

Our first night away, I had a bit of a panic about one of our languishing home improvement tasks: Repair the front door so it unlocks properly.

The lock sticks, regardless of hot or cold weather, tongue held in correct position or not, curses murmured or not… Trying to unlock our front door can drive a person crazy.
So I sent our friend a text message:
By the way, the front door lock sometimes sticks.
If you have a problem, let me know.
I’ll give you the code to the garage door.
Here’s what he texted back:
Now you tell me.
I called the SWAT team and we
rammed down the door and arrested Ben.
We found two kilos of Mexican catnip.
He said in his best “Puss in Boots” accent:
“It’s not mine!”
