I finally had some time to hang decorations around the house last weekend. The job is far from complete, but at least I’ve made a stab at transforming the Hayley House into the Hayley Home.
One of my favorite quirky pieces is now proudly hanging outside our front door, right by the doorbell.
Back in the day when Kelly and I were first travelled together, he’d take note of passing historical markers by saying – There’s another hysterical marker.
Then we moved to England, where we’d occasionally satisfy our love of Tex-Mex with a meal at the Texas Embassy Cantina in London. On the wall, we saw an actual Hysterical (in this case – a histerical) Marker.
Of course, we had to have one for ourselves.
I tracked down a vendor, ordered it online and had it hand delivered to our home in Eastcote. It was a wonderful conversation piece.
Now it lives, quite securely attached to our brick facade, in our entryway. Yee-haw, y’all!
that is great!
