Five things I’ve already learned since purchasing the new Hayley Home on March 18th:
1. The various types, and correct installation methods, of weatherstripping.
2. How to clear a severely clogged bathroom sink drain with a mini-plunger after the organic vinegar+baking soda+hot water method fails to work.
3. Solutions for a malfunctioning garage door system: a) replace the system, b) reset the remotes, c) replace the batteries. From personal experience, Solution C is the cheapest and should be investigated first.
4. Window film by Artscape is a cheaper and easier way to etch glass windows for privacy. While trimming and fitting is a bit of a pain, installation is simple!
I am personally fond of the door sweep weather stripping method.
Why is it that the cheapest and easiest to investigate is usually the one that people tend to ignore? It is like those people who can’t figure out why their computer isn’t turning on … check the power cord before calling for assistance!
LOVE the window film!
It is awesome stuff, particularly for showers with a window at an interesting height….
And I’m fairly certain that many things in life are probably cheap to fix though we tend to go for the more expensive out of ignorance!
