I’ve decided that I’m a brilliant person.
The problem is that my brilliance comes at the most inopportune times. I wrote fantastic web copy while walking through the grocery store. I outlined the great Hayley Epic Work of Fiction during a training jog. A clever direct mail campaign came to mind while I was washing my face last night.
Fantastic ideas, turns of phrase, plans of action – I have them all. I just have them all at exactly the wrong time.
So I think to myself:
No problem, Oh Brilliant One. Take care of that later.
Just jot yourself a note.
And I do. My current note stack reads:
- Careers page – include culture discussion
- Open with “I am bored.” Great segue to theme of personal discovery.
- Private investigator theme. Maybe have great response give-away (?)
I now have no idea what any of this means. My brilliant ideas haven’t just lost luster, they are lost entirely.
Have you considered a digital voice recorder? I’ve found myself in the same situation many times, and often think I should get a recorder. The problem is that I always forget to buy one.
Make a mental note to buy a voice recorder. lol
You could always tie a ribbon to your finger.
I would have to remember to use it.
I want a personal assistant.
How much does the position pay? I might be interested.
