Sometimes this relatively practical girl unlocks the door to her inner shopaholic and goes for some fun retail therapy.
I (um, we) had received a gift card to Dillards for Christmas (thanks again, G&G A!!). I laced up my comfy shoes and headed to NorthPark Center to see what deals lurked in the post-Christmas, distressed-economy sales.
I would just like to say that I did get something that’s very practical – a Kitchenaid 5-speed hand mixer. I’ve been beating things by hand for over 3 years after purchasing a 110v mixer (US), selling a 110v mixer (moving overseas), purchasing a 220v mixer (UK), and selling a 220v mixer (moving stateside). It was simply too exhausting to purchase yet another mixer when we arrived back in Dallas. That’s also the reason I still don’t have a sewing machine.
Practical purchase in hand, I wandered past the Christmas stock and absolutely fell in love with this Christmas 3-tier server:
How fun will it be to serve fudge and cookies and all sorts of holiday treats next year on this??
Naughty, please.
I can’t imagine any type of “nice” treat that I would want to eat. The holidays are all about eating things that are not at all good for you – and spending hours in the gym to repair the damage.
That is too cute!
I need a picture of the mixer, too! I’d like to have one of those as well – I point it out to the boys each time we go to the dept store! š
Will email one to you straight away!
