I took a bath the Sunday afternoon before Christmas.
It was the first weekend in two months that we had little to do. Run a 5k (ho-hum!), run a few errands (in the Christmas rush, who thought of that bright idea?!?), attend Sunday services at Hunters’ Glen.
Other than that, nada.
It’s been so long since I had absolutely nothing to do that I was really at a loss as to what I could do. I referred to my If I Had list and decided to take a bath.
I didn’t take just any bath, I took a Lush-ious bath. Water so hot I almost couldn’t stand it and half a Comforter bubble bath bar crumbled under the tap fill the tub with a steaming sweet aroma.
This must be what heaven smells like. Especially on a day when God really wants you to relax.
I’m really resisting the temptation to tell you that you really should bathe more often….
Shower v bathe…and you KNOW better!
And just how should I know?
Oh geesh!!
Because your wife is a Lush-addict with an equally short amount of free time.
And I don’t think that I stink when the W. come to visit us (except at air hockey, and I’m working on that.)
That sounds like a challenge. I may have put you in your place. We’ll see how much you’ve been working on that.
I don’t know John, but I’m with him. I read your post a second time to be sure you weren’t saying you hadn’t bathed in awhile. 🙂
You know we love you when we pick on you!
I see how you all are!
At least there are some *nice* folks who read this blog, strangers in fact, who assumed that I do regularly bathE (as opposed to merely taking a bath!).
Mel – I’m breathing a HUGH (sic) sigh of relief that upon re-reading you knew what I meant! 🙂
Who are these nice strangers, and how do you know what assumptions they make about your personal hygiene habits?
