I have been dealing with a very sad big toe since late 2006. I started seeing Dr B in early 2007 and, over the course of time, he became the other man in my (toe’s) life.
But the big toe seems to be back to normal – I even wore nail polish not too long ago. And, to be honest, I was getting tired of quarterly visits, with their accompanying co-pays, to Dr B to make sure everything was progressing well.
Don’t get me wrong – Dr B is an excellent podiatrist. I simply felt I was cured.
So I went to my appointment last Thursday resolved to end our relationship. I rehearsed my lines:
Imagine my surprise when at the end of my appointment, Dr B told me, “I think you’re better. Be careful, because I don’t want to see you again for this type of thing.”
Can you believe it? Dr B broke up with me before I could break up with him!
he he he he he need to get those words out faster girlie!
