A Delightful Dinner Out: Chamberlain’s Fish Market

Kelly and I treated ourselves to a great dinner at Chamberlain’s Fish Market in August (I just found this post – I had forgotten to push publish…ACK!).

It was Restaurant Week – a great time to try out new restaurants or visit slightly-more-expensive favorites. RW offers fixed-price menus ($35 or $45 per person, depending on the restaurant), with $6-7 of each check going to support the North Texas Food Bank.

What does $35 get you?

A starter salad of caramelized Texas peaches, local ricotta cheese, baby spinach and fennel blackberry jam:

Or a starter Grilled corn, local squash and bay shrimp chowder.

Don’t forget the yummy oven-hot bread and chive butter:

For the main course: Grilled filet mignon with smoked crab and chive butter with crimini mushrooms, asparagus and potato ragout:

Or: Stuffed Texas shrimp with spinach and artichoke mac and cheese:

For dessert: Warm Texas peach upside down cake vanilla bean ice cream or Butterscotch waffle with chocolate fondue (no photo of that…too yummy!)

And one of the coolest things we’ve seen to-date – a check folder that lights up so you can see the receipt when it comes to the table!
