Emporium Pies: For When I Eat Pie That I Didn’t Make

I’ve wanted to go to Emporium Pies forever. Because pie. Kelly and I were in the Bishop Art’s District on unrelated-to-pie business and decided to stop in.

That was a very good decision.

We got a couple of slices to go. They were packaged up in adorably cute mini-baskets, complete with baker’s twine and a wooden spork.

He had the Drunken Nut – bourbon pecan with shortbread crust. It was really wonderful after being zapped in the microwave for 10 seconds.

I had the Mellow Yellow – a lemon chiffon with a gingersnap crust. I have no words. It.Was.Amazing.

Next Emporium Pie to-do on our list? Eat all the pies.

Just kidding – kind of. We want to try all of their pies and we want to buy a pie to take at the holidays.

Because pie.
