Just before New Year’s, The Boy and I finished our one-year chronological Bible reading plan.
It really was eye and soul-opening to read the scriptures this way, providing interesting historical context to what can at times seem to be familiar passages.
I was also able to see greater themes within the scriptures of grace and provision – as well as a clear picture that there is a greater plan, even though it’s not at all a plan that I pretend to understand.
We’ve already signed up to read through the Bible chronologically in 2014. We’re following a different plan to mix things up a bit. I can’t wait to hear what God has to say to me through the process.
