Bringing Things Back Together

It only took just under two and a half years to right a wrong, but it’s finally done.

Do you remember when this happened?

I do. What I can’t believe is that it took me one month shy of two and a half years to get them soldered.

Thanks to a local shop, King Arthur Clock and Jewelry, I dropped my rings off on a Saturday and picked them up seven days later. What was broken is now nicely back together:

Strangely, through this process we discovered that my engraving inside the band is wearing away as well. Instead of the verse he’d inscribed, Ruth 1:16, the ring now simply says Ruth.

That’s a problem to solve another day.
