Waiting on a Phone Call

Dear Blog Readers,

Sunday evening turned rather sad at the Hayley house. Kelly’s grandmother has suffered a major stroke and, in all honesty, it isn’t looking very promising at this point.

It’s never a fun time sitting around a house, half-watching football and going through the normal evening routine while you have the phone nearby. In the back of your mind you wonder when the call will come. And you think of not only the last time you saw a person (Thanksgiving), but also of the many moments you’ve shared in a lifetime.

So hug your family and friends a little more often. Focus on enjoying the holidays, not revisiting holiday dramas. Take the time to make memories.

And say a little prayer for Kelly and his family as they wait for a phone call.

Prayers are being lifted. Must be a bad time as Jeremy’s grandfather just got admitted to the hospital with heart issues. And my friend has been diagnosed with lung cancer. *sigh* Such a horrible time to be getting heart wrenching news for anyone. My prayers are with you and for the rest of the family
