What Do You Know?

The sign we spotted at the Marathon Expo turned out to be very accurate.

Seasonally high temps. Horribly gusting winds. It was not a good day for a marathon – for any of the runners.

Kelly didn’t make his goal, but he did finish despite the heat, humidity, and his lingering chest congestion.

On to the Cowtown in February to try again!

Finishing a marathon is more than I could do on the best of days. Congratulations, Kelly!!

congrats on the finish despite the obsticles

  3. I agree with you! I’m pleased that he finished in good spirits, even though his time was way off what he’s trained to do. I just read in the Morning News that a runner died yesterday near the end. We certainly saw many medical emergencies, more than normal, so the heat was a huge issue.

And I am fairly certain that I am not going to run a marathon…crazy!
